Teen Arrested in Connection to Jogger Assault in Branford

Branford Police have arrested a Branford teenager in connection with a June 25 assault on a female jogger.

The jogger notified police on Tuesday, June 25 that she was running in the area of Mill Creek at 8:30 p.m. when she was assaulted by a white male in his late teens wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt.

Police took to Facebook, posting information about the incident as well as a photo of the suspect. On June 27, police returned to Facebook announcing the arrest of the suspect.

A 16 year-old juvenile was arrested after police executed a search and seizure warrant on the juvenile's home. The teenager was taken into custody and was detained at the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center.  The charges include sexual assault in the fourth degree and breach of peace in the second degree.
