Music and Cake on Chester Town Green
Press release from the Chester Historical Society

The Moving Target Band will play a concert on the Chester Town Green at the intersection of Liberty Street and Goose Hill Road, at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 21. If it rains, the concert, being offered by the Chester Historical Society, will take place inside the Chester Meeting House, 4 Liberty Street.

The concert will follow the society’s annual meeting.

The band offers an eclectic repertoire, blending music from the 1930s to today with tunes ranging from Cole Porter to the Beatles. The band is based in Ivoryton, with members hailing from both sides of the Connecticut River valley. Concert goers are welcome to bring a potluck dish to share, along with chairs, or picnic blanket. There will also be a big sheet cake to enjoy, in celebration of the historical society’s 50th anniversary year.
