Elizabeth (Lee) Horn, 97, of Old Saybrook, passed away peacefully in New London on Jan. 28. Elizabeth was born in Bruckenau, Hungary, on Nov. 20, 1919, and emigrated to the US at the age of 3 with her parents and brother.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Alfred Horn, her son Kenneth Horn, and her brother Joseph Pecht. She is survived by her daughter Jean Horn Caron and son-in-law Richard Caron. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She lived in College Point, New York, and raised her family there. She lived for many years in Madison and was an executive secretary at Unilever in Clinton. Upon retirement, she moved to Florida, but later returned to Old Saybrook where she has resided for the past 25 years. She enjoyed living at Saye-Brooke Village and spent her days reading and enjoying her friends and family.
Gifts in her name can be made to the Estuary Council of Seniors, Inc. Meals on Wheels Program, 220 Main St., Old Saybrook, CT 06475. A private celebration of her life will be held at the convenience of the family. Swan Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
