East Haven Police Incident Report for Aug. 16 to 19
Saturday, Aug. 16
• A 27 year-old woman of Silver Sands Road was arrested at 5:43 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree
Sunday, Aug. 17 - Monday, Aug. 18
No arrests were made.
Tuesday, Aug. 19
• A 45 year-old woman of Lenox Street was arrested at 3:08 p.m. and charged with possession of narcotics, failure to keep a prescription drug in its original container, and failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding warrant. He was processed on a combined $26,000 bond amount.
• Police announced that since the beginning of 2014 they have recorded approximately 230 calls for service regarding illegal ATV activity on public roads or public property in East Haven. The town has experience an ongoing problem with ATVs being operated recklessly on local streets, causing dangerous situations for legal motor vehicle traffic. Some of these ATV riders have even gone so far as to harass motorists who are traveling the roadways. East Haven police take this illegal activity very seriously and will continue to enforce the law. This year, nearly ten offenders were arrested and charged with crimes associated with this illegal activity. Numerous dirt bikes and quads have been seized by the East Haven Police Department. Recently, the court awarded one of these vehicles to the Department following a hearing. The Department continues to vigorously investigate these crimes, and has ongoing investigations and arrest warrants pending for some of the offenders involved in recent activity.
