Create a Better Environment
My campaign has been going full steam ahead since it began back in May. Over the last seven months, I've had the honor of visiting the people of the district and I understand their hope that the next state senator goes to Hartford and gets to work on the issues that are important to them.
I founded a solar company that has created hundreds of jobs for people including engineers, lawyers, architects, electricians, administrative staff, and laborers. If we want to make Connecticut a state in which our children can grow up, go to college, find a job, get married, and buy a home, then we need to fix the economic climate in Connecticut.
If I were your readers' senator for the last two years, I would have opposed the 77 individual tax increases that added up to a $2.6 billion burden on hard-working Connecticut residents.
Another bill I would have strongly opposed is the early release program. I have asked the governor to halt this program until we can find a safer alternative. Allowing violent offenders such as rapists and sex offenders out of prison is putting the citizens of our state at risk. My priority is to keep families safe.
For the remainder of this campaign, my focus will be on the people of the 33rd District regarding issues important to them such as creating jobs, helping small business, balancing our budget deficit, and most importantly public safety. We have a great state, great people, and a great spirit; all we have to do is create a better environment for businesses, students, and families.
I encourage everyone to come out and vote on Nov. 6.
